Violence Erupts in Stands of BBVA Stadium During Rayados vs Inter Miami Match

Violence was present in the stands of the BBVA Stadium this Wednesday, April 10, at the end of the match between the Rayados and Inter Miami where the royal team got its pass to the Semifinals after an aggregate score of 5-2.

A video of a fight between fans of the Florida team and supporters of Monterreyapparently after the final whistle.

At least three men wearing Inter Miami shirts They faced a group of royal followers in the stands, a fight that ended when stadium staff intervened to calm the situation.

The images highlight the absence of stadium security elements, despite the announcement of a significant police deployment with up to 1,200 elements to avoid any type of violence.

It is not the first time that followers of Monterrey are involved in fights during this edition of the Concacaf Champions Cup since in the first round they faced each other in a pitched battle in Guatemala against fans of the Communications which ended with several people injured.

This incident occurred on the same day that Mikel Arriolapresident of the Liga MXassured that they work to prevent acts of violence in the stadiums of Mexico and that their responsibility lay in maintaining peace inside the buildings, although they distanced themselves from what happened outside.
