VIDEO ⟩ Balinsky’s “Panthers” reach the second round of the Stanley Cup

The Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning at home 6-1 (0-0, 2-1, 4-0) to extend their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series to four, 4-1.

In the second round of the Stanley Cup, the Panthers will face the Boston Bruins or the Toronto Maple Leafs. Currently, the “Bruins” team is leading the series with 3-1.

Finnish hockey player Alexander Barkov and Canadian Carter Verhaighee stood out for the winners with two goals and an assist (2+1).

“Panthers” Russian goalkeeper Sergej Bobrovsky saved 31 of 32 shots (96.9%) and was recognized as the second star of the match.

Barkova was recognized as the best player of the match, while Verhaighee was awarded the third star of the game.

The only goal for “Lightning” was scored by Swedish defender Viktors Hedmans, while Russian goalkeeper Andrejs Vasilevskis saved 33 of 37 shots (89.2%).

In his NHL debut season, Balinski scored one goal and two assists in 25 regular season games, but he has not yet played in the playoffs.

Balinski, 27, extended his contract with the Panthers for two more seasons in January.
