Victor-Hugo School in Mazères Hosts Olympic and Paralympic Week to Promote Sports Practice

From April 2 to 5, the Victor-Hugo school in Mazères participated in the Olympic and Paralympic week. Labeled “Generation 2024”, the school has organized several events, with the help of associations and in conjunction with the nursery school and college.

The objective was to promote sports practice among young people, by mobilizing the educational community around Olympic and Paralympic values.

Thus, the 350 students from CE1, CE2 and CM1 took part in an Olympic quiz, a sign language workshop, an introduction to blind football, laser shooting, breakdancing, climbing, shadow boxing, torball, boccia, or even judo, and were able to discover wheelchair football.

On Wednesday, the large section pupils of the Marcel Pagnol nursery school joined those of CP and CE1 to learn about soft arc, judo, blind football, rhythmic and sports gymnastics and sign language.

On Thursday, schoolchildren from CM1 and CM2 classes met 6th grade students from Gaston Fébus college, while testing blind football, soft arc, tennis, laser shooting, judo, climbing, dance and sign language.

On Friday morning, this busy week ended with the traditional school cross country.
