Transfers: second-row Thomas Jolmès (UBB) agrees with Pau in Top 14

Thomas Jolmès is going to pack his bags. Arriving at Union Bordeaux-Bègles in 2021 after wearing the colors of Grenoble, La Rochelle then Toulon, the 28-year-old second row will leave Gironde this summer. Although under contract until 2025, he was released by his managers.

As indicated by Rugbyrama and confirmed by L’Équipe, he was convinced by the prospect of joining the Section Paloise and would have given his agreement to the Béarnais club in recent hours. According to our information, this concerns the next two seasons.

Since this summer, he has played 9 matches with UBB, including 6 as a starter. For Sébastien Piqueronies’ Pau staff, it was necessary in any case to strengthen themselves after the unexpected announcement of the retirement of New Zealand international Sam Whitelock at the end of the season.
