Tom Brady Picks Next QB to Win First Super Bowl: Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills

Tom Brady has seven NFL championship rings in his possession, and is the only one with that many Super Bowl wins in all of history. For that reason, the GOAT knows what he’s talking about when it comes to victories and just revealed which quarterback he thinks is next in line to win his first championship.

Brady is one of 34 all-time starting quarterbacks to win a Super Bowl. And the New England Patriots legend thinks that the QB of a staunch division rival of his former team is the one with the best chance of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first time: Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.

“I really like Josh Allen. I would choose Josh,” Brady said recently on the DeepCut Podcast when asked about the next quarterback who can win the Super Bowl for the first time, although he warned that first he has the difficult task of surpassing Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes.

“I really like Josh as a guy, as a leader. But, you know, he has to beat the Chiefs, and that’s tough, because Patrick is amazing and the way he leads that team,” Tom added.

Brady did not choose Lamar Jackson, the reigning league MVP with the Ravens. He also did not choose Joe Burrow, who in 2021 was on the verge of winning a ring with the Bengals. Instead, Brady chose a former divisional foe that has come close but has yet to play in a Super Bowl.

Allen has won at least 10 games as a starter for the Bills since 2019, his first year as a starter in Buffalo. Since 2020, Allen has averaged 4,385 yards per season, 34 touchdown passes, 618 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.

As Brady alluded to, Allen has a pretty significant hurdle to overcome in Mahomes and the Chiefs, who won their third NFL championship in a five-year span.
