Thouarsais Judokas Shine at Pays de Loire Team League Championships

Brilliant on the tatami mats since the start of the season, the Thouarsais judokas once again distinguished themselves during the Pays de Loire team league championships on April 13 and 14, 2024 at the Angers regional dojo. The younger Thouarsaise team made up of Ilénie Pervanchon, Blandine Geffard, Elyne Barillot, Charlène Besnard and Mateha Gourvennec, just promoted to black belt (the 218th in the club), thus climbed onto the third step of the podium. Unfortunately, only the first two teams qualified for the French championships.

Integrated into the UJC49 Cholet team, the Leroux brothers, Titouan among the cadets, Axel among the juniors, also won the bronze medal. A week earlier, at the same place, on the occasion of the departmental championships in their category, the youngest Thouarsais had also collected a fine harvest of medals: gold for Tidiane Fradin, Ethan Bureau and Jonathan Adam, silver for Axel Pasquet and bronze for Léandre Guilot, Lucas Rodriguez and Loann Colin. All are qualified for the regional championship in Nantes on May 25. The opportunity to continue this beautiful harvest.
