Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has stated that “there is no doubt” that Arda Güler will stay “next year” in the merengue team, in reference to the goal scored this Friday by the Turkish playmaker to win 0-1 to Real Sociedad, in the opening match of matchday 33 of LaLiga EA Sports.
“Those who have played less in this last part of the season have done very well today. Arda [Güler]Dani [Ceballos], Fran García, etc., have had a good attitude on the field, a good commitment, they have fought and they have fought. Arda has scored a goal, he is going to be a very important player for us in the future, so there is no doubt that he will stay here next year,” he said at a press conference from the Reale Arena.
He then praised Güler. “He has extraordinary quality. He is a talent, he has a very great gift, which is this talent and he has worked very well. He could play before, yes, because he is training very well. But he is very young and little by little he will play a leading role in this squad. He has scored more goals than minutes played, that is the gift he has,” he explained.
“Luka Modric has shown what he had shown in the last games, optimal physical condition, he is in very good shape and handled the ball very well in the second half. It has allowed us to take off a little of the pressure that Real Sociedad had done very well in the first half, his condition is spectacular and he can obviously play on Tuesday,” said Ancelotti, when asked about the European duel against FC Bayern.
In this sense, the Madrid coach declared that “the line-up for Tuesday [en Múnich] I have to look at it because Militão is back too, who started for the first time and played very well in my opinion. So they are all the options that we have and that I will evaluate in the coming days”, he alluded to that Champions League semi-final.
Regarding the return of center back Éder Militão and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, the white coach pointed out that “obviously they have a chance” of being against Bayern. “We are going to see if Thibaut can play against Cádiz this week. I think so, after the game we will evaluate it. The important thing is that Militão has shown little by little that he is returning to his best level, now he will have another time to improve and we are very happy,” he added.

“For them we have to win every game, and we won this one by suffering, fighting. This is very good, now there are four points left to win the League and we are really very very close,” Ancelotti concluded.
