The Wolves retain the home court factor and the series goes 2-0 to Phoenix – La Provincia

The Suns fell again this Tuesday decisively against the The Minnesota Timberwolves by 105-93 and this first round tie in the West now goes to Phoenix with 0-2 down for the team of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. The Suns arrived at halftime ahead after a solid first half (50-51), but after the intermission they fell apart with an accumulated 55-42 in the last two quarters and lost by 19 points in the last period.

The Wolves defense, the best in the NBA this season, once again tortured the Suns unable to keep their attack oiled from start to finish and they lost 19 balls that gave rise to 31 points for the locals. In addition, Frank Vogel’s team lost Grayson Allen to injury in the third quarter, who sprained his right ankle again, which he had already injured in the first game against the Wolves.

Neither Durant nor Booker could boost the Arizona team: the forward was left with 18 points (6 of 15 shooting) and the guard could only add 18 (6 of 13) and committed 6 turnovers before being expelled for fouls in the last quarter. Even worse was Bradley Beal’s evening with 14 points, 6 of 17 shooting and 4 turnovers. Jaden McDaniels (25 points) was the top scorer for the Wolves in which Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley contributed 18 each. Dominican Karl-Anthony Towns scored 12 points.

The team led by Chris Finch did not even dominate the rebound as in the first game (39-41 for the Suns) nor did it accuse the poor performance of Anthony Edwards (15 points on 3 of 12 shooting).

The next two games will be played in Phoenix on Friday and Sunday of this week.
