In the June issue of SPUR, the two appear with a healthy glow. They are brother and sister judoka Hifumi Abe and Uta (affiliated with Park24), whose gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics is also memorable. We had a valuable appearance befitting the issue titled “The Sporting Life”!
The concept of the shoot is “flexible strength.” We paid attention to the multilayered expression of toughness, likening it to a competition that is said to “conquer toughness with flexibility.” The way Mr. Hifumi and Mr. Uta skillfully wear clothes from fashion houses such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, and Dior is a sight to behold. When I asked him about it, he told me that he has always loved fashion and shopping, which I understood during the interview. There was also a pair shot in which she cheerfully responded to my absurd request, “Could you please try a little trick on me…?” As I was making selections after the photo shoot, I was once again impressed by the depth of the expressions, which seemed to embody the mood and theme of each outfit.
