The Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 inaugurates its gray and rainwater reuse project

The Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899, which will host the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell-71st Conde de Godó Trophy from April 13 to 21, inaugurated this Tuesday its project to reuse gray water from showers and rainwater.

In this way, all the water consumed in the changing rooms is reused, thanks to membrane filtration and the installation of three water tanks with a capacity of 75m3 in total (75,000 liters of water). A system that allows the RCTB-1899 to be completely self-sufficient in watering paths and gardening.

The project, executed by the ACO and CENPAS engineering companies and with the advice of AGBAR, is already in operation and will be one of the main novelties of the next edition of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell-71st Conde de Godó Trophy, which will be held on the slopes of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 from April 13 to 21.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the president of the RCTB-1899, Jordi Cambra, the vice-president of the Government of Catalonia, Laurà Vilagrà; the Councilor for Sports of the Barcelona City Council, David Escudé; the CEO of Aigües de Barcelona, ​​Felipe Campos; the general director of the club, Maria Rosa Cruells and the director of operations, Pablo Acevedo. Also present were the Technical Advisor of the Les Corts district, Irene Morales; his namesake in the district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Blas Navalón; and the Les Corts District Manager, Yolanda Hernández.
