The Modern Iron Man: Mikal Bridges’ Incredible Streak of Consecutive Games Played in the NBA

He is the modern Iron Man of the NBA, the one who never misses a game, Mr. Mikal Bridges. Still author of a season with 82 matches, the winger is now at 474 matches in a row played. It’s simple, he still hasn’t missed a match since his Draft!

Should AC Green start shaking? We would still like to say no since the former Lakers interior is still the ultimate Iron Man of the NBA with 1192 consecutive games without an absence. Can Mikal Bridges ever reach that mark? It will take time and a good number of seasons for that. Nevertheless, Mr. Ponts is on the right track to follow in the footsteps of the three-time NBA champion.

Drafted in 2018, Mikal Bridges has in fact gone six consecutive seasons without missing a SINGLE MATCH.

If we are being nitpicky, we could say that this is not entirely correct since the player did not play in February 2023 against Chicago. An absence which was not counted since the player was simply not qualified following his transfer to Brooklyn. Even better, that season he played 83 matches (one more than the normal number). In 2024, Mikal Bridges has not changed his habits with still 82 matches in his legs. Not an illness, not even a little injury to keep him away from the courts. Whether it’s rain or wind, the winger is in gear at kick-off. That’s very strong, especially for a player who averages around 35 minutes per game every night in the NBA. It remains to be seen how long this crazy series will continue?
