LE SCAN SPORT – This Wednesday, the Frenchman was eliminated in the first round of the Masters 1000 in Madrid by Shang Juncheng (6-7, 6-2, 7-6). The match was marked by its duration and by a special request from Corentin Moutet.

Corentin Moutet fought for almost 4 hours in Madrid to… lose. The Frenchman was unable to get rid of the young 19-year-old Chinese, beneficiary of an invitation, Shang Juncheng (6-7 (9-11), 6-2, 7-6 (12/10)). But it’s not the defeat that gets people talking. The 88th in the world asked the referee for a coffee in the middle of the match. He was then down 3-0 in the second set and needed a little pick-me-up.

The latter told him to ask someone from his staff to go get him one. A few minutes later, the Frenchman had his long-awaited coffee. A supporter brought it to him with, in addition, a sachet of sugar. In exchange, the fan received a t-shirt from the player.
