How are the League Cup Quarterfinals played?
All matches will be played on neutral fields and in a single match, with fans of both parties. In total there are seven games left, all of them direct elimination.
The Quarterfinals will take place between Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, while the Semifinals will be the following weekend, between April 27 and 28. Finally, the Final of the competition will take place on Sunday, May 5.
In that sense, it is necessary to clarify that in the event of a tie in the ninety minutes in the Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches, they will go directly to penalties. In the Final, however, there will first be an extension of two fifteen-minute halves.
Finally, in addition to adding a star, the League Cup champion will secure a place in the 2025 Copa Libertadores. In contrast, those who reach the Final will have practically no rest: the Professional League will begin the following weekend.
