When it comes to TV money, the jump from the regional league to the third league is extremely lucrative. Alemannia Aachen could plan around 1.2 million euros in TV revenue for the coming season if promotion were successful.

Doubling the costs

The catch: The expenditure side would also change significantly. “The general costs would double and the stadium rent would increase. The 1.2 million euros in TV money would not be enough to compensate for the increase,” said Alemannia managing director Sascha Eller in an interview with our newspaper.
