The Franconians don’t have a worse record against any other team in the 2nd league – especially away from home! The FCN has been waiting for a victory in Gelsenkirchen since September 18, 1993 (!). At that time, club legend Sergio Fabian Zarate (54) scored a brace to secure Schalke’s last three points (2-1).

The horror record against the royal blue feared opponent: Across all competitions, there have only been a measly three club victories in the last 30 duels with S04. In the 2nd league, FCN is still waiting for its first point win.

Even the over team from FC St. Pauli (1:2) had to acknowledge this at the beginning of March. The league leaders suffered their first second division defeat at Schalke. Afterwards, guest coach Fabian Hürzeler (31) raved highly about the relegation candidate: “Schalke definitely deserved to win. They were more bilious and played more physically.”
