The Electoral Commission rejects Miguel Galán’s appeal and the elections in the RFEF should not be repeated

The Electoral Commission of the Real spanish soccer federation (RFEF) has dismissed this Monday the appeal filed by Miguel Galan and two more people, so the organization’s electoral process remains as it was announced at the beginning of April and should not be repeated.

“Dismiss the appeal filed on April 5, 2024 by Miguel Ángel Galán Castellanos, David Galán and Mario Otero against ‘the electoral roll of the distribution and members of the RFEF assembly of the official call of April 5, 2024′” , indicates the commission’s resolution to which Europa Press has had access.

The Electoral Commission has pointed out that “continue the electoral procedure through its proceduresaccording to the electoral calendar approved by the Management Commission and duly published in the electoral call”, although an appeal may be filed against this resolution before the Sports Administrative Court (TAD) “within a period of five business days from its notification.”

Miguel Galán, president of CENAFE, along with coaches David Galán and Mario Otero, presented an appeal at the beginning of April before the TAD to challenge the call for elections to the federation. considering that part of the assembly members that make up the current federative Assembly no longer have that condition and therefore should be replaced before starting an electoral process. The TAD considered it, but it was the Electoral Commission that had to make a decision.
