Vannes and Provence Rugby, respectively 1st and 2nd in the Pro D2 championship, largely won by pocketing the offensive bonus during the 28th day on Friday, the Bretons maintaining one point ahead of the Provençaux in the ranking. Vannes crushed Rouen 52-14 thanks in particular to eight tries while Provence-Rugby disposed of Valence-Romans 43-8 with seven tries to its credit. Another great score of the evening, that of Brive which dominated Aurillac 45-13.
In the standings, Vannes has 87 points for 86 at Provence-Rugby. Béziers remains in 3rd place with 76 points but, after its defeat on Friday in Grenoble 34-19, the Biterrois are only two points ahead of their opponent of the day.
