In this Olympic year, fifty new sites will be crossed by the Vélotour which has also just obtained the labeling “Great Cause Event 2024”as part of the promotion of physical and sporting activity desired by the President of the Republic.

Vélotour is above all a promise: (re)discover your city by bike with family or friends in a festive atmosphere. For a good fifteen years, 750 unusual places – often closed to the public – have already been crossed, including the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, Roland-Garros, the Philharmonie in Paris, Le Zénith in Dijon, fire stations, museums, town halls, etc. Thus 500,000 “cyclists” have able to discover “the transgressive joys” of riding in a classroom or the pleasure of cycling through a stadium or concert hall.

This year 13 host cities and territories have been selected (see below). On each date, 10 to 15 sites are selected for their historical, cultural, industrial or sporting heritage. The route each time includes between 15 and 25 kilometersaccessible to as many people as possible.

According to the organizers, 98% of those registered are accompanied. 75% are families and children (under 12 years old) represent 1 in 4 participants. For their part, those over 50 represent 30% of cyclists.

In terms of prices, for a adult, you have to pay 15 euros13.50 euros (preferential rate), and 20 euros if you book at the last minute. For a child under 12 years old, the price is 7.5 euros5 euros (preferential rate), and 10 euros at the last minute.
