Setter Jakarta LavAni Allo Bank Dio Zulfikri admitted competition in PLN Mobile Pro League 2024 very strict, especially with the Jakarta STIN BIN.
Currently LavAni tops the standings with six points, followed by STIN BIN with the same points. Interestingly, the two teams will clash in the second series in Semarang.
These two star-studded teams will clash at GOR Jatidiri, Semarang on Thursday (2/5). This is a match that has been eagerly awaited, because it is a kind of duel between two Indonesian national teams.
If at LavAni there are Dio, Hendra Kurniawan, and Fahry Septian, at STIN BIN there are Rivan Nurmulki, Farham Halim, and Dimas Saputra. Dio admitted that this duel would be fierce.
“Currently in the 2024 Proliga, teams cannot be predicted. Because all the teams are good. So yes, we have to remain alert to other teams,” said Dio in Yogyakarta.
“We have to improve our receiving and blocking, yes. In Semarang we face STIN BIN and Bhayangkara, which are strong teams in the Proliga. We will try our best,” he said.
LavAni, as a team that has won two seasons in a row, is being targeted. All teams seemed to want to overthrow LavAni. Dio is aware of this, so he continues to take care of himself.
“Obviously every team wants to beat [LavAni Allo Bank]. If asked about targets, all teams want to win. We must be vigilant. Can’t let your guard down at all. The team is all strong.”
One of Dio’s focuses before the second series in Semarang, against STIN BIN and Bhayangkara Presisi, was to understand the character of LavAni’s foreign opponent, Renan Buiatti.
“Communication with foreign players is still an adjustment. For [MohammadReza] Beik is not that much of a problem. “If Renan’s ball is fast and left-handed, he has to adjust his height too,” he said.
