Hobby grillers from Stuttgart secured the title at the Baden-Württemberg grill and BBQ championships on Saturday. The team “The Barbeeq’s” from Leinfelden-Echterdingen impressed with their dishes and won the title at the exhibition center in Stuttgart.
It was the third amateur grill and BBQ championship in Baden-Württemberg. In the competition, the teams had to serve four courses. The basic ingredients were given.
For the vegetarian plate, for example, the teams had to use cauliflower, celeriac and potatoes, while for the fish dish the salmon fillet and spinach were mandatory. For the meat course, saddle of veal had to be grilled with chicory and for dessert, rhubarb and quark were indispensable.
