The TFC-OM meeting was classified as risky, and it did not fail. Incidents involving Marseille fans took place in Toulouse before the match counting for the 30th day of Ligue 1 between Toulouse and Olympique de Marseille this Sunday (7 p.m.) at the Stadium.
According to our information, supporters, most likely from Marseille, showed up hooded and armed with iron bars in several streets of the Pink City. These individuals damaged two windows, on the banks of the Garonne, near the TFC stadium. A slight casualty is to be deplored. This person, injured by an iron bar, went to the hospital on his own, we learned from a police source.
Supervision of OM supporters from this Sunday
The perpetrators of violence arrived aboard a bus of supporters of Olympique de Marseille, and two other vehicles. The bus was intercepted in an attempt to identify the perpetrators of these acts.
The meeting was classified as “at risk” by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH). “It is prohibited for any person claiming to be a supporter of OM or behaving as such, from Sunday April 21 at 8 a.m. to Monday April 22, 2024 at 6 a.m., to drive or park on public roads,” decided the Toulouse police headquarters. Jerseys, scarves and other equipment bearing the image of the Marseille club are prohibited in the Pink City from this Sunday.
The movement of Marseille supporters is therefore very supervised. Nearly 1,000 OM fans are expected in the visitors’ park at the Toulouse Stadium this Sunday evening.
