Talpa has signed a deal with Viaplay Group, known for its Formula 1 broadcasts. From April 5, a selection of Viaplay’s sports offering can be seen on SBS 9, which will continue under the name ViaplayTV. A Viaplay spokesperson confirmed this.

Not the complete Formula 1 races will be shown via ViaplayTV. Viaplay tells NOS that it concerns summaries and qualifications. The Japanese Grand Prix will be broadcast this weekend, with a few hours delay. The live races will continue to be available on Viaplay’s paid streaming service.

In addition, there will be darts matches and football matches from the English and German leagues. Streaming service Viaplay has been in dire straits for some time. Last year it postponed publishing quarterly figures twice.

The NOS also broadcasts summaries of all Formula 1 races and the entire Dutch Grand Prix.
