Successful Weekend for Judo Creusot Cadets: Multiple Medals and Qualifications Secured

The weekend was busy for the Judo Creusot cadets accompanied by their coach Arthur Repiquet since two competitions followed one another in Saint Marcel. On Saturday, 5 judokas took part in the Bourgogne Franche-Comté Cadets Espoirs Championship, a competition which brings together 1st year cadets, therefore born in 2009.
Good behavior from these judokas since 3 of them managed to get on the podium and 4 of them ranked in the first 8.
Results :
Gold medal: Mélodie Nunes
Bronze medal: Mouhamed Benyoucef, Andrea Seddiki

7e place : Nathan Lion
Unclassified: Alban Boussageon
Mélodie, Mouhamed, Andrea and Nathan thus qualify for the French Cadets Espoirs Championship which will take place on Sunday May 19, 2024 in Ceyrat, south of Clermont-Ferrand. Bravo to them, even if they will have to show more commitment and technical precision if they want to hope for better.
Sunday morning, the 4 male judokas returned to Saint-Marcel to participate this time in the Bourgogne Franche-Comté Cadets 2nd division Championship.
This championship brings together all the cadet judokas in the region, except those who participated in the French Cadets 1st division championship by qualifying by finishing among the top 3 of BFC. This is why Mélodie, who finished 2nd in her category, was not able to accompany her comrades from the day before. This second day was more difficult for them due to the fatigue of the day before and also the high level of this competition for young people only 1st year out of the 3 that the category can count.
Results:
Bronze medal: Andrea Seddiki
Unclassified: Mouhamed Benyoucef, Alban Boussageon, Nathan Lion
Sunday afternoon, it’s time for the club’s seniors for the BFC Seniors 3rd Division Championship, still in Saint Marcel. 2 of them, Antoine Orozco and Louis Peultier, got on the tatami to do battle with their opponents. Each in their category finished 2nd in their group which included 4 judokas. After winning his 8th, Antoine lost his quarter and did not manage to come back despite the repechage. It therefore ends up unclassified. For Louis, the course is similar but the repechage allows him to finish 7th in the ranking.
Aymen Ait Alehiane, licensed at the Judo Club Chalonnais, who also comes to train at Le Creusot, finishes 5th in his category. Jean Louis Guyot was also present over the 2 days and brilliantly represented the Creusetin club as a referee. Sunday was not easy either for the youngest since a selection of juniors and juniors accompanied by their coach Johnny Potet went to Izeure in Allier to participate in the city tournament. A great day for these young Creusetins who fought brilliantly throughout the day in this tournament which brought together several regions.
