Success for Badminton Club Lecco at Italian Championships and Bolzano International Tournament

MILAN / BOLZANO – Busy weekend for the athletes of Badminton & Croquet Club Lecco – Lario Mi Auto con i Italian Master Championships played in Milan in the home of badminton with 120 athletes from all over Italy and the Bozner Fruhling – Bolzano International Spring Tournament Under category with 340 athletes registered from all over Europe.

In Milan the Blucelesti Masters fielded 5 athletes, winning 5 Italian titles for 9 medals overall. On shields Denis Passador who climbs to the top step of the podium in the three specialties played; SM 60 without leaving a set to the opponents and winning the final over Volpi (Brescia Sport Più) 21-13 21-14, DM 60 paired with Flavio Bettoni (CUS BG) over Merigo/Bisioli (GSA Chiari) 21-19 21- 14 and XD 60 with Roberta Brenzone final against Pardatscher/Klotzner (ASV Marlengo) 21-10 23-21.

Two golds for Piera Tocchetti; in SF 55 in a round robin group with three athletes, in DF 50 paired with Sara Marchesini (CUS BG) final won against Doering/Gargano (15Zero) 21-19 21-19 and a silver in XD 55 paired with Edvidio Milani always in a round robin group with three other couples.

Silver in DF 60 for Roberta Brenzone paired with Maria Branca (Brescia Sport Più) also here in a three-way round robin group.

I due bronzes are for; Edvidio Milani in SM 55 where he lost in the semi-final against Piccinin (BC Milano) 11-21 14-21 and Roberta Brenzone SF 60 against her doubles partner Branca (Brescia Sport Più) 11-21 16-21.

Paolo Poletti in SM 55 and DM 55 paired with Edvidio Milani he lost in the quarter-finals.

And Friday to Sunday took place Bolzano International Spring Tournament, where the Cattaneo brothers, Alex U9 and Mattia U13 participated.

Alex he played in the superior category; in SM U11 it stops at the groups losing to Aadya (England) and Gogele (ASV Mals), nel DM U11 paired with Mattia Ceol (ASV Mals) the turn passes against Grillo (SSV Bozen)/Matejca (Slovenia) losing quarteri contro i Cechi Musil/Smekal 6-21 12-21 e in the XD U11 with Nathalie Grittle (ASV Mals) to the round of 16 contro Smekal (Czech Republic)/Malakova (Slovenia) 16-21 7-21.

Mattia in the SM U13 does not pass the group losing against the Serbian Mlinaric after three hard-fought sets 20-22 21-7 18-21, nel DM U13 paired with Luca Li Bohong (BC MI) after having passed two rounds they stopped in the quarterfinals against the Swiss Dallhammer/Ruthschman here too with three very tight sets 21-16 16-21 19-21 and in the XD U13 with Lea Gitterle (ASV Mals) ai 32 I against the Austrians Zehcner/Zhou 17-21 18-21.
