Success at the National Parabadminton Circuit and TOP TTR Absolute and Minibadminton in Alhaurín de la Torre

Last Saturday the National Parabadminton Circuit and the TOP TTR Absolute and Minibadminton organized by the Spanish Badminton Federation, the Andalusian Badminton Federation, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta took place in Alhaurín de la Torre (Málaga). of Andalusia and the Hon. National Parabadminton Circuit

In the IM SL3 SL4 SH6, Iván Segura (CAETD) from Granada managed to become the winner after beating the corner player Francisco Javier González (21-7/21-9) and Juan Antonio Ramírez (21-9/2-13). Ramírez (Lucena) in turn obtained the silver by beating González (21-17/21-14), who ended up winning the bronze.

And in the IM WH1, Francisco Motero (CAETD) from Huelva was proclaimed champion by beating José María Bisbal from Almeria (21-4/21-5) in the final.

TOP Absolute TTR and Minibadminton

In the Absolute category Iván Cumbreras (La Orden) managed to become champion in the IM modality after beating Guillermo Muñoz (La Encina) in the quarterfinals (21-8/21-4); his teammate José Ignacio Infante in the semis (21-10 / 21-17); and Rafael Porcuna (Granada) in the final (21-9/16-21/21-5). The remaining third place went to Greig Douglas Petrie (Granada), who after reaching the semifinals was defeated by Porcuna (21-12/21-15).

At the IF María de la O Pérez (Granada) and Alba Padilla (La Orden) met in the final, with Pérez winning the gold after three intense sets (18-21/21-16/21-18).

In the DM Lucas Carmona and Juan Blas Villalta (Estepona/Arjonilla) won gold, defeating the Granada natives Carlos Rosales and Rubén Darío Rosales in the quarterfinals (21-12/21-15); to the Cumbreras brothers (IES La Orden) in the semifinals (20-22/21-9/21-16); and Sergio Cardador and Rafael Porcuna (Montilla/Granada) in the final (21-14/25-23). Cardador and Porcuna in turn certified the silver previously, beating Leon Endtz and Jorge Moriel from Benalmádena in the semifinals (21-14/25-23).

In Mexico City, after advancing as first in the group, Candela Arcos and María de la O Pérez (Granada) rose to the top of the podium after beating Candela Antequera and Marta Rodríguez (Benalmádena/Montilla) in the final (20-22/21- 16/21-15), in this way Pérez managed to be crowned two-time champion of the category.

And in the DX Sergio Cardador and Marta Rodríguez (Montilla) were proclaimed champions after beating Juan Blas Villalta and Sara Bonilla (Arjonilla/Benalmádena) in three sets in the semifinals (17-21/21-17/21-17); and Guillermo Tapia and Candela Arcos (Zamora/Granada) in the final (21-12/21-16).

Continuing with the Minibadminton category, Jorge Díaz (Vélez Málaga) climbed to the first place on the podium in the IM, beating Eduardo Muñoz (La Encina) in the quarterfinals (10-15/15-11/15-11); Jacobo Repiso (Montilla) in the semifinals (15-13/15-10); and Jorge Balsalobre (Bádminton Las Torres) in the three-set final (12-15/15-8/15-10). The remaining bronze went to Javier Gracia (La Encina), who after reaching the semifinals lost to Balsalobre in three games (13-15/15-4/15-12).

In the IF, Rute native Nuria Pérez obtained first place after beating Valeria González (Arjonilla) in the semifinals (15-7/15-5) and her teammate Raquel Piedra in the final (12-15/15-6/15 -12). Piedra in turn beat Lola Fernández (Málaga Evolution) in the semis (15-4/15-12).

In the DM Gonzalo Alcobendas and Eduardo Muñoz (La Encina) shone in the DM, winning gold after beating José Manuel Esquina and Álvaro Martos from Córdoba in the final (15-10/15-12).

In DF Nuria Pérez and Raquel Piedra (Rute) climbed to the top of the podium, beating Lola Fernández and Loreto Tejeiro (Málaga Evolution) in the final (15-5/15-10), and Pérez also won his second gold of the day.

And in the DX Eduardo Muñoz and Raquel Piedra (La Encina/Rute) were both proclaimed two-time champions by beating Pablo Castillo and Nerea Ríos from Benalmádena in the semifinals (15-7/15-4); and Antonio Jesús Cintas and Nuria Pérez (Arjonilla/Rute) in the final (15-10/17-15). The remaining third place went to José Manuel Esquina and Lola Fernández (Córdoba/Málaga Evolution), who reached the semifinals, where they were surpassed by Cintas and Pérez (15-11/15-11).
