The qualifying phase for the various French championships was held at the Cécile NOWAK Dojo in St Marcel during the Bourgogne Franche Comté Séniors championship.
Saturday was devoted to qualifying for the 1st division and 2nd Division championship.
The judokas from Rue de la Paix fought hard and were able to position themselves like Laura PERONET who won the title of BFC Seniors 1st Division champion -78kg (for the 4th consecutive year) and imitated by Chloé DEPLANCHON winner in +78kg! Two titles and above all 2 qualifications for the French 1st division championship which will take place this year at the beginning of November in Chalon!
The city of Chalon will therefore be worthily represented with 2 judokas from the Chalonnais Judo club on the tatami mats of the Coliseum!
By finishing 3rd in their category, Hélène NASR (-70kg) and Joris LIMONIER (-90kg), for their part, won their qualification for the French 2nd division championship which will take place in Paris at the beginning of June. Others distinguished themselves and finished their competition at the foot of the podium like Maël HERBAUX and Stéphane BASSET, both 5th in -90kg.
The next day, the BFC Seniors 3rd Division championship was held and again, good performances allowed some to obtain their ticket for a national phase. Like Sarah PETIT, gold medal in -57kg, she who is still only a cadet! Silver for Emma VALENTE (-78kg, from Sennecey)) Allan CHEVILLARD (-90kg) and Jérôme RION ( -100kg) and Bronze for Stéphane BASSET (-90kg) and Maryne LEFEBVRE (-57kg, from Rully) and 5th place for Aymen AIT ALE HIANE in -73kg.
President Christophe CHARDIN and Technical Director Yann DU CLOSEL are proud of the very good track record of the club’s judokas and hope that everyone will perform well during their various national championships.
