It was only on Friday that coach Edin Terzic (41) said at the press conference about the competitive situation in the attack: “How often do you support someone, or when do you give someone else a chance – we ask ourselves this question week after week. It’s a bit nasty now because we’re only talking about Seb Haller and Niclas Füllkrug, but it also affects Youssoufa Moukoko.” So far, Moukoko has only ever made short appearances and was able to score three league goals.

In fact, after Haller’s injury, he was given preference over national player Niclas Füllkrug. With only 13 ball actions, he was hardly able to promote himself. Of course, BVB had to stabilize the defense with ten more men, but the substitution of Moukoko still left a bitter aftertaste. Is that already a hint for his future?

HSV coach Steffen Baumgart recently publicly expressed interest in Moukoko. The former Cologne coach wanted to lure the storm jewel to FC. However, the striker did not want to go to a smaller club.
