Sports director Schlaudraff is leaving St. Pölten

Sports director Jan Schlaudraff will leave the second division club St. Pölten at the end of the season. The ninth-placed team announced this on Monday. The reason given by the club for parting ways with the 40-year-old German was, on the one hand, the unsatisfactory sporting situation and, on the other hand, different opinions about the future direction of the club. Schlaudraff came to Lower Austria in January 2022.

“Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, we are far from our sporting goals this year and this is ultimately my responsibility. As far as the direction for the new season is concerned, there are different opinions between me and the board, so we have jointly come to the conclusion that we will part ways after this season,” explained Schlaudraff.

The SKN St. Pölten is going through a major upheaval. After clearly missing out on promotion, the cooperation with the German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg, which has existed since May 2021, will end in the summer.
