The g-athletes from Blijdorp who are participating in the Special Olympics in May in Lommel held a training day at the sports complex in Lebbeke. There was badminton, swimming and athletics.
The Special Olympics will take place in La Louvière from May 8 to 11. G-athletes from all over the country gather there to give the best of themselves in various disciplines. Blijdorp, with branches in Buggenhout and Dendermonde, sends about twenty athletes to La Louvière. “This year our athletes are participating in swimming, athletics, badminton and cycling,” says Magda Cool van Blijdorp. “In preparation, we organized a training day.”
