Spanish Archer Andrés Temiño Strikes Silver and Gold at Shanghai World Cup

Andrés Temiño started the morning by winning silver with Elia Canales in the Shanghai World Cup. They did it as a mixed team in recurve, where they fought for the gold medal against South Korea. The match had a high level and they had to resort to the tiebreaker arrow to conclude. Finally, the gold went to Korea after the Spanish put them on the ropes.

The silver fell short for the 20-year-old Aragonese. He still had to compete in the individual final in which he was crowned champion of the Shanghai World Cup. He did it against fellow Korean Kim Je Deok 6:2). This is how the Spaniard got a direct ticket to the final in Tlaxcala (Mexico).

To reach the final against the Korean legend, Temiño had a short rest time. He reached the last phase thanks to his good performance in the semi-final against the Frenchman Thomas Chirault (6: 4).
