Simon Manéo Dominates Men’s Singles Tournament, Ujap Badminton’s Young Stars Shine in Youth Circuit

After a long break, Simon Manéo made a remarkable entrance onto the courts of the Quimper Badminton club, during the Men’s Singles tournament in series 1. His sharp technique and his experience on the field allowed him to dominate four thrilling matches, to finally win the victory in the final against François Louargant de Rostrenen, with a close score of 21/19 – 21/17..

As for the club’s young shoots, the results are just as positive! Five players from the club distinguished themselves during stage 8 of the Youth Circuit in Ploudalmezau, bringing home four medals, including two gold and two silver. Lili Louarn (series 2 cadet) won a silver medal after a hard-fought final against local Gaëtane Le Borgne (09/21 – 13/21). Camille Le Berre-Moreau (series 1 cadet) also finished second, losing in the final against Magali Ardhuin from Saint-Renan (21/13 – 21/08). Jérémy Barre (minime series 3) and Baptiste Gain (minime series 2) won the gold medals in their respective categories, beating respectively Ewen Floch from Morlaix (21/12 – 21/12) and Loïc Jolivet from Plozévet (21/18 – 21/18).

These excellent results underline the talent and constant progression of the club’s young players. Their combativeness, their sportsmanship and their promising technique augur a revival for Ujap Badminton. The training of young people continues and the technical bases improve with each tournament.
