Shin Tae-yong to Extend Contract with PSSI Until 2027

Shin Tae-yong guarantees that he will accept the contract extension offer from PSSI. He will increase his service time for the next three years until 2027.

Shin Tae-yong’s contract extension is guaranteed PSSI after two targets have been successfully achieved. Previously, PSSI targeted the Indonesian National Team to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup and the U-23 National Team to the Round of 8 of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.

Chairman of PSSI Erick Thohir immediately held a meeting with Shin Tae-yong as soon as Indonesia met its target in the U-23 Asian Cup. Erick Thohir has opened discussions about extending Shin Tae-yong’s contract on Wednesday (24/4/2024).

The current contract extension has not happened in black and white. The new federation simply guarantees that it will continue to use the service Shin Tae-yong after the contract expires.

The Federation will set the next targets that Shin Tae-yong must achieve during his next term of office. Also, the contract value will be negotiated by both parties.
