Sam Hauser Makes History for All the Wrong Reasons in Celtics Win

Despite playing with the substitutes, the Boston Celtics ended up taking the win against the Sacramento Kings. One of these secondary players who today had the perfect opportunity to be seen is Sam Hauser, and the Celtics forward took advantage of it to make history… negatively.

Mazzulla gave him all the time in the world (he spent 36:17 on the court, more than any other player) but Hauser chained error after error until he signed a horrible 1/18 on field goals. The 5.6% in field goals, his only success came from the triple in 13 attempts, meant a dismal 8.3% in true shooting, the statistic that measures the efficiency of players’ shots.

Only Angelo Musi, who in 1947 reached 6.2%, achieved a worse figure, scoring a minimum of three points, leaving behind a festival of nonsense that will take a long time to equal.
