Back on the court after his defeat in the Monte Carlo final, Casper Ruud spent a fairly quiet afternoon against Alexandre Müller (6-3, 6-4).

It was important for Casper Ruud to move forward after the slap he received on Sunday in the Monte Carlo final against Stefanos Tsitsipas (6-1, 6-4). Well it’s done for the Norwegian. He easily won his first match at the Barcelona Open by dismissing Alexandre Müller in two sets (6-3, 6-4), after 1 hour and 29 minutes of play.

Thanks to this victory, Casper Ruud equals the Italian Jannick Sinner by signing his 25th victory of the season. As a reminder, the Norwegian ranks 6th in the ATP rankings revealed this Monday. The number 3 seed is now waiting for his next opponent.
