Rosario D’Onofrio, the former head of the National Arbitration Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague, was sentenced to 5 years and eight months in prison. He was arrested on November 10, 2022 on charges of criminal conspiracy to traffic drugs.

The sentence was pronounced by the Milan magistrate Lidia Castellucci. Prosecutor Rosario Ferracane, head of the GdF Gico investigation, had asked for 8 years in prison at the end of the indictment which lasted three hearings of the summary judgment chosen by D’Onofrio and 41 other defendants.
