The young Rodrygo is one of Real Madrid’s most exciting professionals. Ahead of the duel with Manchester City in the Champions League, hopes rest on him. But too often “Rodrygol” gets in his own way.

It was one of the games that made even the neutral observers in the Bernabeu Stadium sweat. Until the 90th minute, Manchester City was leading 1-0 at Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League. The English had already won the first leg 4-3. The reports in the press box had already been written, a winning goal from Rodrygo in the 90th minute to make it 1-1 was briefly noted.

But then just a minute later, the then 21-year-old rose high in the air and headed the ball into the goal with all his might in the style of a center forward. When Karim Benzema converted a penalty in the 95th minute to make it 3-1, the stadium was upside down at the beginning of May 2022 and Real Madrid were in the final for their favorite trophy.
