RKC Waalwijk goalkeeper was disturbed by Almere City’s style of play on Thursday evening. The captain of the Waalwijkers saw his team unnecessarily lose points against the Almeersers, who in his view had not traveled to the Mandemakers Stadium in Brabant to play football. Despite his annoyance, Vaessen credits Alex Pastoor’s team for their performance in the Eredivisie.
“It would be better to put a dummy in our goal,” says Vaessen, who was full of frustration after the end of the match: “Then it is very easy for them, but when I see how many chances we get. Then we have to at least When I see how Almere plays… It’s very effective, but I wouldn’t want to play in that team,” the goalkeeper says. “They just don’t come to play football, but you know that. That’s their right, because they probably don’t have the players for that and otherwise they wouldn’t stay in the Eredivisie,” thinks the RKC closing post.

Vaessen admits that he is ‘sorry’ that his team cannot continue against Almere City on Thursday evening: “They are higher than us, so I can’t say anything. You still just have to shoot one in and then I still say here the same about Almere, but they are three or four places higher than us. So just credits,” Vaessen emphasizes. “They can manage with this football, but I would never want to play for such a team,” concludes the brand new Suriname international.
