UnipolSai Fortitudo Bologna has announced that it has extended the agreement with the athlete Ricardo Paolini until the end of the 2024 season. After two great seasons in the Fortitudo shirt, raising the 2022 Italian Cup and the 2023 Scudetto to the skies, the Italian interior -Venezuelan is ready to return to Bologna to defend the white and blue colors.
Ricardo Segundo Paolini, born in 1999 and born in Merida Venezuela, AFI athlete and cornerstone of the Italian national team, after a 2022 season as the first player in the championship in terms of hits scored, returned last year, during the current season, to the court of manager Frignani .
Ricardo played in the 2023 playoffs as an absolute protagonist, making decisive and “clutch” plays as the stakes rose, in particular in the championship semi-final as an “ex” against Parma and in the Italian Baseball Series against San Marino.
Precisely those championship finals, won by UnipolSai Fortitudo 4-0, elected Paolini as MVP: the white and blue second baseman closed the final series by scoring 5 hits (two doubles) with 5 RBI and two bases on balls won, without missing out on some great defensive plays that the Fortitudo fans still have firmly fixed in their minds.
