“Remembering Gabo: Celebrating the Life and Work of Gabriel García Márquez”

The F. Lázaro Carreter Municipal Library has been the setting for the talk titled “10 years without Gabo” on the work of the Colombian writer and journalist Gabriel García Márquez, whose death this year marks the tenth anniversary. The writer and professor of Latin American Literature at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Selena Millares, has reviewed the life and work of the man who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1982.

The Councilor for Culture, Jesús Fernando Agudo Sánchez, welcomed the attendees to this conference that is part of the Book Days. The programming continues this Wednesday, April 17, at CC El Castillo with a storyteller titled “When the story speaks to us,” by Nono Granero, for audiences ages 4 and up.
