Record man Cole Palmer is catching up with Erling Haaland after a gala for Chelsea FC

Thanks to record hunter Cole Palmer, Chelsea FC can still hope to take part in the European Cup. The 21-year-old shooting star scored four goals in the easy 6-0 (4-0) win against Everton FC and now leads the top scorers list in the English Premier League, tied with star striker Erling Haaland.

After the fastest hat trick (13th/18th/29th) in London’s Premier League history, Palmer followed up with a penalty kick (64th) after the break. Nicolas Jackson (44th) and, for the first time for the Blues, Alfie Gilchrist (90th + 1) were also successful.

Palmer also became the first player to score in seven consecutive Premier League games at Stamford Bridge. It was only at the beginning of April that he scored three goals in a 4-3 win against Manchester United, two of which came in stoppage time.

Against Everton, Palmer was successful with his right, his left and his head. He now leads the top scorer list with 20 goals, ten of them in the last five games, level with superstar Haaland from leaders Manchester City.

In ninth place in the table, Chelsea is further behind expectations, but at least the Europa League is still within reach. Everton is still in dire straits of relegation.
