Real Madrid and Manchester City Thrill Fans with 3-3 Draw in Champions League Quarter-Final First Leg

Real Madrid and Manchester City offered an incredible quarter-final first leg of the Champions League concluded with a score of 3-3, Tuesday evening at the Bernabéu, a week before the second round in the north-east of England.

Real Madrid-Manchester City is the big poster child for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the first leg between the most successful club in the competition (14) and the reigning European champion kept all its promises. The players parted with a score of 3-3 on Tuesday evening at the Bernabéu, leaving the suspense intact before the return leg, Wednesday next week, at the Etihad Stadium.

The Merengues held their own against Pep Guardiola’s team, leading the same score for a good while. Bernardo Silva certainly stunned the Madrid public from the start (2nd), with a distant free kick, but Eduardo Camavinga, for his first goal in the LDC (if it is not attributed to Ruben Dias against his camp), and Rodrygo reversed the situation in three minutes (12th and 14th).

Sick goals in the second!

The Mancuniens then mastered the game to also reverse the situation on the hour mark, thanks to two incredible missiles from Phil Foden (66th) and Josko Gvardiol (71st)! Andriy Lunin, the Ukrainian goalkeeper, had a very bad evening. A few minutes later, it was Federico Valverde who delighted the football world with a superb cross volley which beat Stefan Ortega (79th). Exceptional!

For the second round at home, Man City will be able to count on its sparkling playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, left on the bench this Tuesday because of illness. Erling Haaland, discreet, will perhaps have more goal balls! Ederson, the starting goalkeeper, barely back after an injury, should return to his place. On the other hand, on the Madrid side, Carlo Ancelotti will be deprived of Aurélien Tchouaméni, warned from the first minute and automatically suspended.
