Real Madrid have come a lot closer to their 36th Spanish championship title. The Royals, who are clearly at the top of the table, won 1-0 at Real Sociedad on Friday evening at the start of the 33rd round of the Primera Division thanks to a goal from Arda Güler (29th), thus increasing their lead over pursuers FC Barcelona to 14 for the time being Points.
The Catalans will only face Valencia at home on Monday. It was the sixth league win in a row for the Madrilenians, who continued to compete without the injured ÖFB star David Alaba.
