Rafael Nadal is still unable to play officially. The Spaniard will not be in the game in Monte-Carlo, third Masters 1000 of the season, first on clay.

This is what he himself communicated on social networks.

Hello everyone! These are difficult times for me sportingly speaking. Unfortunately I inform you that I am not going to play in Monte Carlo. My body just won’t let me.

And although I continue working and trying my best every day with the hope of being able to compete in tournaments that have been very important to me, the reality is that today I cannot.

I have no choice but to accept the situation and try to look towards the immediate future while maintaining hope and desire to give myself the opportunity for things to improve. A big hug to everyone and thank you for the love and support always!

It should be remembered that the Spaniard won eleven titles there (from 2005 to 2012 consecutively and from 2016 to 2018) and also played in another final (in 2013 vs. Novak Djokovic).

His agenda includes Barcelona and Madrid although his present makes everything an unknown.

Monte-Carlo and all the Masters 1000 can be followed LIVE on STAR+ for all of Latin America.
