Rafa Nadal Returns to Conde de Godó with Strong Performance: Ruud Reflects on the Legends’ Last Chapters

After spending three months without playing an official match, Rafa Nadal has returned to the Conde de Godó and has left very good feelings.

The Manacori defeated Flavio Cobolli in the first round and played a very good first set against Alex De Miñaur, world number 11.

Casper Ruud, number 6 in the ATP, has spoken about his return to the courts. The Norwegian, who is already in the third round of the Conde de Godó, has left an emotional reflection from Ruud about Rafa.

“I’m very excited for his return. I may sound like a fan, but it’s always good for the circuit to have him and it’s fun to watch him play,” he said.

Ruud acknowledges that like Federer’s, Nadal and Djokovic’s careers are going through their final chapters.

“He, Roger and Novak have had an enormous influence on this sport. Unfortunately, Novak and Rafa’s careers will soon fade away and we will miss them greatly,” he noted.

“We must try to enjoy what they can continue to offer,” he concluded.
