Quentin Larivain-Mattei Awarded First Dan Black Belt in Judo Training Session

Friday evening, before the judo training session, young Quentin Larivain-Mattei, aged 15, a second year student at Bossuet, was awarded the first dan black belt by his teacher, Guillaume Lechat. This distinction is the result of the work accomplished with seriousness and diligence since 2013, first at the Mamertin judo club (72), then, since 2021, at the ASPTT Lannion.

“I have been practicing judo since the age of 4, and it has become a passion. I had the chance to start with André Poussin, an educator who knew how to pass on his passion for judo to me. When we start in this sport, our wish is to have the black belt, also, it’s a great satisfaction.”

In competition, Quentin has already obtained very good results, with, last year, a title of champion of Brittany as a junior hopeful, and a place in the 8th finals of the French championships. “This season, I finished in 5th place at the Brittany cadet championship, and only the first four were qualified for the French championships.”
