Premier: Tottenham draws with West Ham and remains fifth – Football

Tottenham missed the opportunity to enter the top four of the Premier League, drawing 1-1 at West Ham in a match of the 30th matchday of the Premier League, in which the Newcastle matches also ended with the same result -Everton and Burnley-Wolverhampton.

Spurs took the lead after just five minutes at the London Stadium through Johnson but the hosts equalized 14 minutes later when Kurt Zouma curled a corner into the net. Tottenham is now two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and nine points ahead of sixth-placed Manchester United, who face Chelsea tomorrow.

In Newcastle, Swede Alexander Isak scored his 19th goal of the season and his fifth in a row at St James’ Park but the three points for the home team vanished when Calvert-Lewin equalized from the penalty spot five minutes from the final whistle .

Meanwhile, Everton has set a new record of 13 consecutive games without a win in the Premier League, leaving its 70-year stay in the English top flight still at risk. The Toffees are four points clear of the relegation zone but are under threat of a second points deduction for breaches of financial rules.
