For European champion Sofia Polcanova, the last 16 of the Women’s World Cup in Macau, China, was on Thursday. The Upper Austrian lost 4-0 to the Puerto Rican Adriana Diaz in the $1 million tournament. On Wednesday, Polcanova narrowly made it into the round of 16, where Diaz, number ten in the world rankings, was one size too big.
