Players Benefit from Protected Rankings at Roland Garros: Nadal Returns, French Contingent Grows, and Kerber, Osaka, Andreescu Make Comebacks

Among the men, five players benefit from a protected ranking which allows them to appear in the main draw, the cut of which is set at rank 99. Starting with the winner of 14 titles on Parisian ocher, Rafael Nadal (9th) , who could make his return this year after missing the 2023 edition due to pain in his left iliopsoas. Marin Cilic (21st), Denis Shapovalov (27th), Kei Nishikori and Kwon Soonwoo are also expected in Paris.
