BC Yverdon-les-Bains laid the foundations for their qualification for the final on Saturday by winning 5-3 at Union Tavel-Fribourg. On Sunday, the Vaudois won the first four matches at home, which made them uncatchable.

For the Fribourgeoises, it is the abrupt end of a 35-year era – they are voluntarily withdrawing from the highest category of the game. They have left a lasting mark on Swiss badminton, and all they needed was a championship title for to crown it all.

BC Trogen-Speicher also won comfortably. On Saturday, he won 6-2 at Team Argovia, and the next day, a 3-1 score was enough to advance to the next stage. The best player of the weekend was Jenjira Stadelmann, who won all three of her doubles and mixed matches.
