Pincourt Municipal Council Inaugurates New Basketball Facility for Citizens

On April 16, 2024, members of the municipal council of the Town of Pincourt as well as employees met to inaugurate the start of work on a facility that citizens can use to play basketball.

The area will include a basketball court, practice court and scoreboard. In addition to being fenced and lit, the installation will be accessible to people with reduced mobility. The public will have seating areas and landscaping will complete the site. As for the graffiti wall, it will be moved to the park, near the future mounds.

The mayor of Pincourt, Mr. Claude Corneau, mentions that this project represents an investment in the health and well-being of our young people. “I am delighted to see this project take shape, offering young people the opportunity to play basketball, close to our sports infrastructures adjacent to the Omni-Centre,” he concludes.

Note that during the ordinary meeting held on March 12, the company DDL Excavation was mandated for this contract. The date of the official opening has not been brought forward since it will depend on the progress of the work and the weather conditions.
